I used to have British Gas Home Care at a cost of £332.20 per year, I had a problem with the over flow pumping out hot water so I called them out. It did not take long to diagnose the problem - 'blocked pipes and your system needs to be power flushed and sorry but you are not covered for that if you read your policy', so he gave me a quote for £750.00 and 'I will see when we can do it'. No thanks. I called IGM for a quote, Ian came the next day and he agreed the system needed a power flush but there was no need to replace the blocked pipes. 'I will drain the system, cut the blocked pipe out, clear them and then replace the pipe - total cost £475.00 and I will do it the following day'. My central heating has never worked so well - many thanks to Ian for a clean and tidy job.
